Athollbrose, Baawrah and Soleil d'Hiver are the only three runners to go to post for this novices' handicap hurdle and the vote is given to Athollbrose. The selection is closely-matched with Baawrah on their recent outing at Ayr, and although these two are clearly nothing special, the selection looks to have a little more scope for improvement than Baawrah and on that basis he is narrowly preferred. Soleil d'Hiver is only a plater and he makes little appeal here, but he has shown an ability to handle these conditions and for that reason he can't be entirely dismissed. This is a contest which will not take a great deal of winning, but we will stick with Athollbrose to lead them home.
