In depth

Verdict

Yet another big field for this finale. There should be a decent pace and Cherry Princess profited from that scenario here two weeks ago when running out a comfortable winner. However, she was behind Back To Balloo over track and trip earlier and is 2lb worse off with Peter Winks’ veteran, who has claims again. Red Ochre remains winless but has been getting closer, though is also creeping up the weights. Bowie is best at Market Rasen and on softer going but Big Thunder should go well and Wazowski may have benefited from a break. MINELLA FIVEO split a couple of subsequent winners at Southwell in April and Kane Yeoman takes off a handy 7lb here - Sue Smith’s gelding is looking well treated nowadays.
