In depth

Verdict

Irish raider The Jam Man has obvious claims from a form perspective and Brian Hughes is booked which suggests connections mean business but there is a concern with the McNally inmate in that all his best form - and indeed most of his form - has been achieved on soft ground at best. He'll go close if handling the faster terrain but there are no such ground doubts about ELMONO, who has performed with credit on both starts for Lucinda Russell. He was within a length and a half of Traditional Dancer on good ground at Perth last month when looking an improved performer and is only 1lb higher now. Its Pandorama went close here the last day and must enter calculations once again with the excellent Becky Smith claiming 5lb. Something Brewing and Makethedifference are also respected.
