Verdict

A small but competitive field goes to post for this handicap chase and the main protagonists look to be Danish Decorum, Rookery Lad and Cool Dante and the confident vote goes to Danish Decorum. The selection made all to defeat Native Daisy in good style last time out and although he has a penalty for that win he won in the style of an improver and could still be ahead of the handicapper and under conditions that suit he is taken to win again. Rookery Lad rates the main danger on his latest third behind Orinocovsky. However he just gave the impression he was in the handicappers grip on that occasion and for that reason he is passed over on this occasion. Cool Dante would be a big danger on his best form but he disappointed for no apparent reason last time so can not be backed with any confidence. Nev Brown is from a yard in top form and could go well but he will need to improve significantly on his latest third behind River Pirate to trouble the judge. Good Lord Loui was a fair third behind Lik Wood Power last time and is sure to have come on for the run but in a tight affair for the winner we return to Danish Decorum.
