Verdict

A wide open seller here and many would have chances on their best form but the principals look to be Hi Rudolf, Calon Lan and Breaking Breeze and the tentative vote goes to Hi Rudolf. The selection was a good second in a better race behind Cross The Highman last time and need only reproduce that effort to win this off what looks a fair mark. Calon Lan rates the main danger on his latest third behind Palouse but he was doing all his best work at the finish so the drop in trip here looks to be against him.Breaking Breeze is another worthy of respect on his latest fourth behind Another Joker in a 0-110 handicap but he is far from consistent so can not be backed with any confidence. Of the remainder Orient Bay is game and consistent but very one paced however he is sure to run his race. But in a race where stakes should be kept to a minimum for the winner we return to Hi Rudolf.
