Robber seems a reformed character for joining the stable of Peter Bowen and is taken to follow up his Chepstow success at the main expense of Tanterari and Alvaro. The last mentioned was disqualified after taking the wrong course at Uttoxeter last time but had run well and still looks well treated on the evidence of earlier hurdles form. Young Lorcan has been running well over fences but disappointed back over hurdles last time. If able to reproduce earlier chase form he has claims along with Paddy The Optimist, who has slipped to a fair mark. Martin Pipe's Tanterari had won three on the bounce in handicap hurdles prior to getting bogged down in the mud at Chepstow and is an interesting runner on his chasing debut but the experience of Robber sways us his way. The son of Un Desperado always had the ability when with Philip Hobbs but was never able to win a race; however, that has changed since joining Peter Bowen as the eight-year-old recorded a smooth success at Chepstow last week, driven out to beat Dun Locha Castle by four lengths. A 9lb rise since then still leaves Robber on a fair mark and he is taken to follow up.
