Verdict

Lady Of Fortune looked potentially top class when making a winning debut in a Taunton bumper last season and is taken to make a winning debut over hurdles at the main expense of Sister Cinnamon and Very Special One. The last mentioned has shown promise in both starts so far, latterly on her hurdling debut behind Lady Of Scarvargh last month and, with the stable of Kim Bailey showing signs of a revival of late, she has to be respected. Tom George's Ishka Baha is closely matched with Kim Bailey's mare on running behind Lady Of Scarvagh at Ludlow and is another worthy of a mention. The Seamus Mullins-trained Early Start would have an obvious chance on the form shown in bumpers and novice hurdles so far but has been off the track since November 2003 and it is impossible to know how much ability she retains. More solid claims are probably held by the Steve Gollings-trained Sister Cinnamon, who was a ready winner at Uttoxeter last month and was not disgraced behind Elfkirk at Chepstow subsequently. The vote though goes to Lady Of Fortune. Nicky Henderson's mare looked a horse to keep on the right side of when making a winning debut at Taunton last January and, although her subsequent defeat behind Marsh Run at Sandown was disappointing the six-year-old looks worth chancing in this company on her hurdling debut.
