Verdict

A tough race to call here for punters with very little between many of the leading fancies but the principals look to be Oh So Brave, On The Outside, Uncle Max, Grimshaw and Revelino and the tentative vote goes to On The Outside. The selection won well last time out when defeating Mrs Ritchie and although he has a penalty for that win this slightly longer trip will suit and he will be hard to beat. Oh So Brave rates the main danger he has been in good form of late and a reproduction of his latest second behind Vitelucy would see him go close. However he is seen to best advantage when he gets an easy lead but he is not guaranteed that here and at likely odds he looks opposable. Uncle Max is another that could go well but he just gave the impression he was in the handicappers grip when well be hind Old Feathers last time and although the drop back in trip is sure to suit he looks worth opposing. Grimshaw is another worthy of respect on his latest third behind Dom d'Orgeval last time but this trip seems to test his stamina. Revelino was a fair second behind Donovan last time and that form has since been franked. But in a race that throws up more questions than answers for the winner we return to On The Outside.
