    Verdict

HOOF IT has looked a progressive three-year-old this term and should land the hat-trick, in this small field sprint handicap, ahead of Texas Queen while first-time blinkers might help Maldon Prom get involved. As well has age being a factor in the pick's recent resurgence the step back to the minimum trip has also helped. In fact he is now two from two over this distance and given he wasn't stopping last time he should go well from his revised mark. Texas Queen is receiving 8lbs from the pick but was well held by the selection last time. That said the revised weights suggest a closer contest. Maldon Prom will see the track through blinkers for the first time here after a frustrating run of placed efforts while Durham Express was a winning juvenile but will need to improve on his first start of the season. Just the four runners to pick from and Hoof It looks to be easily the best of the quartet.
