Verdict

Favourites have a good record in this contest and POLAR VENTURE will be somewhere near the head of the market. He's won three of his six starts on Polytrack and was just denied at Kempton in March by the progressive Yeeoow. Willie Haggas' charge is taken to make a winning debut on Turf and is preferred to Saloomy. The latter will have come on for his first start for a new trainer at Ascot and will be winning soon off his current mark while top weight Whozthecat isn't out of this after a close-up second at Thirsk last Saturday. My Son Max had been in good form before disappointing at Newmarket last time and Chester Aristocrat is another to consider along with Henry Bee and Midnight Dynamo.
