Wordiness has been in good heart this year, ending a long losing run when winning at Doncaster, but preference is for the unexposed SPARTE QUERCUS (Nap). He made an impressive start in handicaps, staying on well to take a 1m4f race at Doncaster and this step up in trip should suit him perfectly. Stamford Raffles performed with credit over an inadequate trip last time but may now be in the grip of the handicapper, comments which also apply to On Fire, while Tetradrachm has shown little since switching to David Simcock. The admirable Zenafire won again at Chester earlier in the month and can make the frame, and former Gordon Elliott inmate Kashmiri Sunset is of some interest on his seasonal debut.
