In depth

Verdict

Knight In Armour was a narrowly-beaten favourite in his second race at Chester and could be vulnerable to a couple of horses with wins under their belt. Wasim got up late on to take a maiden contest at Doncaster, but preference is for VEEJAY who took a while to get the hang of things on debut but made up ground rapidly late on to get his nose in front. Al Barg from the Richard Hannon stable looks the pick of the newcomers and is one to watch, and Floreat Floreat is another interesting entrant. Prediction and Stockings Lane look short of this level.
