In depth

Verdict

Ship's Hill is selected to reverse form with Joyryder although the market will provide us with plenty of clues. Mick Fitzgerald is at Haydock Park this afternoon and his presence in this race points us toward the Henderson runner. The penny dropped late in his opening racecourse bow and with Joyryder having the winners' penalty - there is plenty of reason to suggest that he will reverse the form on this occasion. Joyryder should not be crabbed for that victory as he was impressive. It is difficult to give away penalties in bumpers and Stolen Moments will very much be in the same boat. Little Bit of Hush is related to a number of Irish point-to-point winners. Chasing could well be the game in the long run. Classic Harry is a half-brother to Altapeter. Well regarded in the Beaumont camp, it is likely that the trainer has plans for some way in the future. Tomillelou is bred on flat lines. Alan Swinbank's bumper horses are always watched in the market and this will be no exception. Master Somerville is likely to be the better of the two Henry Daly runners if jockey bookings are to be believed. Mr Shambles ran well on debut but has worryingly been off since that run. Plenty of future winners but for today, we are siding with Ship's Hill.
