Verdict

The three-year-old Fisio Therapy may be open to more improvement than most of these and has to be respected but narrow preference is for Gallant Boy, who gets the verdict over the consistent pair of Kylkenny and Cripsey Brook. The last named has been in a rich vein of form recently and comes here on a hat-trick but faces a stiffer task today and the handicapper may well have his measure. Kylkenny does not win that often these days and, while the eight-year-old warrants respect on the evidence of his last time out second behind Sporting Gesture. The maiden Bagan, topweight Dileer and another hat-trick seeker Castleshane are others to consider but the vote goes to Gallant Boy. The David Evans-trained four-year-old has been an improved performer of late and lost no caste in defeat behind the in-form Nuit Sombre at Sandown last time when not getting the run of the race. He looks worth another chance today.
