In depth

Verdict

Vanishing Grey probably has the best form of the two runners to have raced previously with Brian Meehan's filly having finished a creditable fourth behind Lady Of The Desert at Leicester last month and she makes more appeal than Jeannie Johnston but this may go to one of the newcomers with SAND VIXEN getting the verdict. The selection is a daughter of Dubawi trained by Saeed Bin Suroor, who has the Godolphin string in fair enough form at present. He is more than capable of readying one first time out and Sand Vixen is taken to make a winning debut. Ed McMahon's string is beginning to find their form so his runner Revoltinthedesert, a daughter of Dubai Destination, has to be considered. Mark Johnston's runners always warrant respect and Marie de Medici is no exception but his juveniles tend to improve with racing so she may be best watched. Jeannie Johnstone lost no caste in defeat over course and distance under testing ground on her debut last month and she has to be considered on this faster ground but preference is for Godolphin's Sand Vixen, who is taken to make a winning debut.
