In depth

Verdict

A tricky opener with a number of unexposed types capable of further progress in opposition such as Night Speed. The top weight faced a stiff task last time in the Molecomb but had previously made all to land a Kempton maiden and will find this grade more to his liking if handling the softer ground. Miss Ceylon confirmed previous promise to score at Beverley and can go close off a fair mark but the TEAMtalk vote goes to El Coto. Bryan McMahon's charge has shown a consistent level of form in similar company and looked unlucky last time when finding trouble in running. Already proven in the prevailing conditions, El Coto can offset a subsequent 4lb rise and gain compensation.
