Verdict

Waters are muddied as none of the sextet have operated on soft ground. Alhaazm, Gantier and Prejudice came home second, third and fourth in a well-contested Newbury handicap last month and there's little to choose between them at revised weights. Alhaazm receives slight preference but MIND THE CRACK can come good here. Mark Johnston's gelding will have no problem with this trip and may well stay further, having returned to action with an effortless success at Lingfield. This is far tougher but major improvement is anticipated. Paradise Boy is consistent but has no experience of racing on Turf and therefore a watching brief is suggested.
