In depth

Verdict

Hotham and Jarrow are closely matched on their running at Thirsk in July when the former came out best and he's 4lb higher in the weights today. Both should be thereabouts at the finish, while Ganas could also figure on his handicap debut after winning a Doncaster maiden by six lengths last month. Fabreze hasn't had much racing for his age and may do better on only his third start of the season, but VICTORIAN BOUNTY is just preferred. He didn't do too badly when fifth on slow ground in better company at Windsor last time, but today's conditions will suit better and Stef Higgins' sprinter looks capable of adding to this year's couple of wins.
