In depth

Verdict

KITTY WELLS produced a better effort over 1m7f at Doncaster last time and has scope for further improvement at around today's distance. She gets the vote ahead of the likes of Harvey's Hope, Pittodrie Star and Baltimore Clipper, who all won on their penultimate starts only to flounder off higher marks when last seen. Wild Desert was placed on his three previous outings before a recent spin over timber and recent winning hurdler Abergavenny has every chance back on the level. Dr Livingstone scored over a shorter trip at Ffos Las recently and should have no problem with this greater test of stamina.
