        Verdict

        DARK EMERALD is in a different league to these rivals and the only doubt surrounds the trip as he hasn't run over this short since scoring at Meydan in February. He was beaten less than a length in a Listed contest at Newbury last time and shouldn't have much to fear from these rivals. Ballymore Castle is a useful sprinter who has rarely been beaten far in strong company since scoring at Chester in May of last year. He can get the better of Another Wise Kid for the minor berth, though Paul Midgley's charge arrives in cracking form having won a competitive handicap at Ripon on Saturday. Alexandrakollontai has a terrific strike-rate of 9-49 though not quite at this level.
