In depth

Verdict

All look to have fair claims but SPAVENTO is in a rich vein of form presently and impressed when powering away to score at Ayr last time over 9f. Up 6lb for that success, the Alston charge is taken to repel the well-weighted Simply Shining, who finally returned to something like her best juvenile form when beaten less than a length in a fair Doncaster handicap. Richard Fahey looks to have something to work with now on that evidence and she's the danger. Hot Rod Mamma has tumbled down the weights but showed ability remains when only just failing to rein in Oddysey at Thirsk. She was engaged at Carlisle yesterday, however, while Tussie Mussie is treading water off her current mark.
