      Verdict

A weak claimer that could go the way of Best Lead with American Cousin Soaked and Vijay put forward as the main dangers. No less than five of these rivals met at Newcastle last time with Soaked coming out on top, beating American Cousin into second, Best Lead third, Joyce's Choice fifth and Needwood Bucolic last of ten. Strictly at the weights Soaked should again come out on top, however he was given a soft lead in that event and with different tactic we expect Best Lead to reverse the form today. American Cousin is a tough customer and no doubt will be in the shake up again. Vijay hails from the in form Ian Semple yard on comes right into the argument here on previous running with the Dandy Nichols charge. It is not a race to get too involved in as these type of horses's tend to take turns to beat each other, but we will side with Best Lead.
