Verdict

Mercury was back to his best when scoring at Beverley last time and is not ruled out off topweight, having been raised 4lb. Tectonic has place claims as he steadily descends the handicap and Irish raider Jocks Wa Hae has gone well on all three starts at this venue and must be competitive off an unchanged mark. Highfield Lass has to be of interest if able to back up a better effort at Ayr the last day but the one they all have to beat is TOFFEE APPLE. Keith Dalgleish's mare is hit with a 12lb penalty for successes in the last four days but she blitzed her rivals here last Saturday and showed a good attitude to follow up at Beverley on Tuesday. She still looks well enough treated and the decision to drop her two furlongs back to a mile looks a sage decision. She's unlikely to represent much in the way of value but is hard to oppose.
