Verdict

A moderate maiden in which Ben Haslam fields a trio of runners, with Any Joy likely to prove best of the three on the evidence of a promising Doncaster debut when fifth of 17 behind Time Check in April. That form would probably prove good enough but she failed to build on that next time and hasn't been seen since early May. The booking of Graham Lee would suggest that connections anticipate a good run though. Stable companion Charlie's Approval was entered at Catterick yesterday but the tentative choice is BAY MIRAGE in the hope that the drop in trip will both rekindle some spark and suit his usual front-running tactics. Run Rio Run has the best sprint form in the book but has lost his way the last twice. He'd be the one to beat if rediscovering the best of his form but the jury is out with him at present.
