In depth

Verdict

Heavy going was a legitimate excuse for Kimberella last time at Leicester and dropping back to 6f will help. SIR DANCEALOT has produced a couple of solid efforts in defeat in Group races this year. Conditions won’t be a problem so he’s just preferred to the three-year-old Laugh A Minute, though Roger Varian’s colt won a valuable sales race in spectacular fashion on similar going at Doncaster last year and will be all the better for his run behind Invincible Army at Ascot. Visionary is probably the only other worthy of a mention but his latest second came on Polytrack.
