Verdict

Barkass showed fair form last term but Brian Ellison's gelding gave little sign for encouragement on his reappearance at Newmarket in July so he looks best watched at present and a better bet may be TRULY DIVINE, who gets the vote ahead of Virtuality. The last mentioned has shown gradual improvement in her four starts and Bryan Smart's filly has to be considered in what seems a weak contest. Eric Alston's Ishiadancer made a promising debut in a Chester maiden over a mile two weeks ago and has to be respected but she may not appreciate the drop back in trip. Kevin Ryan's Arganil has been well held in both starts so far and is hard to recommend in a race where the vote goes to Truly Divine. Ed Dunlop's gelding showed promise on his Newmarket debut and again on his second start at Yarmouth. Any further improvement on those two starts and he will be tough to beat.
