Sea Light was twice unlucky at the Galway Festival before taking advantage of a last-flight fall by a rival to score at Killarney. He's up 6lb but is running well enough to get into the frame. Bobarlee won a bumper before beaten on her hurdling debut when odds-on. She showed the benefit with an impressive victory in a Down Royal maiden and looks to have got in lightly on a mark of 116 so should make a bold bid for a double. However, PEREGRINE RUN, who hadn't shown much in his first six starts over hurdles, attracted very strong support in a maiden at Down Royal last month and absolutely hacked up. Not surprisingly he's been hit with a 10lb rise from his last handicap but that doesn't look enough to prevent him going in again. Static Jack, a winning point-to-pointer and bumper, has been steadily improving over hurdles and was such an impressive winner of a Galway maiden that he's another who has to be considered in a competitive handicap.
