Verdict

Aidan O'Brien has a quartet of entries and experience may prove the key on this testing ground. African didn't show much on his debut behind stable companion Finn McCool at Navan but will be much better for the experience though it's SIR JOHN LAVERY who should prove best of the Ballydoyle runners. He wasn't fancied on his debut over 1m1f at the Curragh but travelled nicely for much of the way until lack of experience found him out. Both Auckland and Max Liebermann are by Galileo and related to several winners so any market move for either should be heeded. Jim Bolger won the inaugural running a year ago so Mearu, who is Kevin Manning's choice over Vocal Activity, is one to note as is Dermot Weld's Haripour, a half-brother to the stable's brilliant Harzand.
