Athenry Boy made a promising reappearance and handicap debut over 1m2f at Leopardstown but could have done without a 2lb rise in the weights. PAPAGAYO (NAP) showed improved form on his final start last autumn and again when staying on very strongly over slightly shorter at Limerick last month. With his stable staging a revival this season, he looks the one to be on. Pat Harkin finished runner-up in that latter event with Extreme Appeal in third but both had every chance and already had runs behind them so had a fitness advantage. Magic Kitten has shown little over a mile at Dundalk but is much more likely to be suited by today's trip and ground.
