The Govaness was impressive when winning a Listed mares' handicap at Cheltenham last month but is 13lb higher here and this will be her first try over 3m. Edeymi is talented but doesn't look an easy ride and disappointed at Cheltenham off this mark. Dawn Commander won off this mark at Warwick but only beat two rivals and really needs faster conditions than he'll encounter today. ALTERNATIF is high enough in the weights at present but might enjoy this step up in trip having found one too good at Taunton and Cheltenham since beating the useful Theinval at Kempton. He gets the nod ahead of stablemate Serienschock and Milan Bound.
