Verdict

It was only two years ago that Quel Esprit was winning the Grade 1 Irish Hennessy. He pulled up in last year's Grand National then made a winning debut between the flags in January before disappointing in a Leopardstown hunter chase where he was around seven lengths behind BURREN RIVER. The latter was still in touch when falling at the last in a very strong event won by Warne at Fairyhouse last month and can gain compensation. Davy From Milan has completed a hat-trick in decent company between the flags but takes on much better opposition. Glasson Lad is still a youngster in these terms and can get into the frame.
