Verdict

MOONSHINE LAD makes the trip over the Irish Sea and it should prove worthwhile. He had an off-day at Clonmel last time but Gordon Elliott's charge had gone close to landing a Grade 2 novice event at Leopardstown before that and looks the one to beat on that evidence. I Need Gold failed to land the odds at Catterick recently but it was still a good effort under a penalty. He looks a bigger threat than Full Jack, who returns to hurdling off a lower mark after a spell over fences. Point-to-point winner Doubledisdoubledat was tailed off on his debut under Rules and is best watched for now.
