Verdict

The Doorman hasn't had much experience but looks a nice staying prospect who will appreciate this step-up in trip. Best Value was beaten a long way when runner-up last time but found the going too soft and did much better on this type of ground previously. TULSA JACK has overcome his jumping problems and though beaten off higher marks since scoring at Kilbeggan he is a consistent performer and Ger Fox's claim is a major plus so he gets the nod. Russian Regent has been racing over shorter trips but scored over three miles at Perth in May so it won't be a problem.
