    Verdict

Last year's Racing Post Trophy fourth, Mount Joy, was turned over at odds-on at Doncaster on his seasonal debut 24 days ago in a race that has not worked out well. If you can forgive him that, he has a favourite's chance here. Pablo has solid form and is entitled to go well but the step back from ten furlongs to today's trip is not certain to suit Hannon. Double Helix is related to a number of winners but needs to have improved a good bit for his debut run. Royal Storm is also related to a number of winners and should be capable of improvement this year despite showing little in three runs as a juvenile.
