HIGHLAND REEL disappointed in the Irish Derby on his latest start having finished runner-up in the French version at the end of May. But he won the Vintage Stakes at this meeting last year and the Ballydoyle colt is the one to beat if back to something like his best today. Sir Michael Stoute bids for his fourth win in the last eight years with Disegno, who steps up in trip, but Medrano makes more appeal on an easy Listed win at Hamilton where Prince Gagarin and Red Tornado were both well beaten. The remainder are all rated in the 90's and have plenty to find in this grade with Space Age and Scottish closely matched on their running in a handicap at Ascot last month.
