Verdict

Tony Martin has enjoyed success in this in recent years and though Fill Your Hands hasn't run since October he showed enough in his two starts over timber that he'll be adding to his bumper success soon. Thomas Hobson won four times on the Flat for John Gosden so it was no surprise when he started long odds-on for his hurdling debut at Listowel. However, he hardly jumped a hurdle and though rallying at the last probably wouldn't have beaten the winner when coming down. He'll need to jump much better here as STUCCODOR will be very difficult to beat. Dermot Weld's charge has won six races on the level including last year's Irish Lincoln on heavy going. He hasn't done as well over hurdles as expected but still has plenty of time and looks the one to be on. Denis Hogan has his horses in fine shape and The Welsh Wizard, runner-up to Long Dog at Sligo, could sneak into a place.
