Verdict

Prince Khalid Abdulla took this race home with Zacinto last year and he can keep the prize with MAIN AIM taking this year's renewal. Officially the best horse in this depleted line-up, Sir Michael Stoute's colt handles soft ground well and although the loss of the injured Ryan Moore is a blow, replacement jockey Eddie Ahern will be keen to impress. The three-year-old Poet's Voice has a strong chance given he receives weight from his older rivals; he is so far unproven on ground this slow but he caught the eye in defeat at Salisbury last time out and is far from discounted. Kieren Fallon is an interesting booking for course winner Summer Fete and the ground shouldn't be an issue, whilst Vitznau loves to get his toe in but recent performances in competitive handicaps have hardly suggested he'll take this first step into group company in his stride.
