In depth

Verdict

Ben's Folly was well held on his debut for Tim Vaughan at Wincanton in May but the stable is in better form now and he may improve for being stepped up in trip so cannot be discounted but a better bet looks to be Peter Bowen's KINGS RICHES, who has already won in a bumper and has shown progressive form over hurdles; he can open his account over timber now stepped up in trip. Irish point winner King's Lion has yet to show a similar level of form over hurdles and a bigger threat may be Fontwell winner Elevenses, who ran well under his penalty at Wincanton on his most recent start in May but he may again have to settle for minor honours.
