      Verdict

A competitive handicap which sees Knight Errant and Jack Regan, 1-2 at Sandown earlier this month, resume hostilities. Ian Williams’ charge is a pound better off for half-a-length so there is likely to be little to choose between the pair again granted luck in-running. Hamlul came good on his handicap debut at Beverley and this well-bred colt should go on the better things. VICTORY CHIME has won two out of three this year and beat Beringer, a winner twice since, on worse terms here in the spring. Though he had only two rivals last time at Chepstow, that wasn’t a bad race and he’s only gone up 2lb. Escalator has only his second run over this trip but didn’t impress in the first.
