Delagate This Lord has been running well on fast going all summer and won a better race than this at Bath ten days ago for which he's penalised. Youkan likes some give in the ground and further rain would aid his cause but Atalanta's Boy, who initiated a double when scoring here in May, didn't appear to enjoy softer conditions at Chepstow last time. Sweet Pursuit won on good to soft at Bath though that was a lower grade contest while Cent Flying couldn't quite cope with a 3lb rise at Newmarket after scoring at Epsom. PRIVATE MATTER is on a long losing run but is up to this grade and has dropped to his lowest ever mark so gets the nod.
