Verdict

ISLE OF CAPRI may still be fairly treated despite a 7lb rise in the weights for her Windsor win and she gets the seal of approval ahead of Thumbs Up and Never Ending Tale. Richard Hannon's filly has a mark of 73 to contend with today and has been given a break of 58 days since her last run. Her maiden form of earlier in the year looks solid and an initial mark of 66 evidently looks to have been on the generous side. Red Merlin and Thumbs Up both come here on the back of wins; the latter's win at the track was decent and the step up in trip looks sure to suit. Greylami is consistent and will probably hit a place again, however a bigger threat to the winners enclosure could be Tomintoul Flyer who looks to have made friends with the handicapper judging by the fact that he is 3lbs lower than his mark at the start of the season. Latin Scholar has a little to prove, and of more interest may be Never Ending Tale; the gelding has some solid form this season and his recent Chester run has been franked. A competitive affair, and narrow preference is for Isle Of Capri.
