Verdict

This should prove to be a match between Detailed and North Light, with clear preference going to Sir Michael Stoute's colt. North Light clearly carried his reputation before him on his debut at Sandown, as he was made favourite in a 14 runner field last month, and failed by only short head to live up to that tag. Bred to get at least a mile and a half in time, this extra furlong is sure to suit and he is fancied to go one better here in the hands of Kieren Fallon. Detailed is officially rated 83 after just three races so far, and Richard Hannon's colt seems sure to find a race, but he was rather disappointing at Lingfield last time when he started a warm favourite, and he may have to wait for another day to get off the mark. Dumfries is a nicely bred colt with John Gosden and is surely better than he showed on his debut at Newbury, but North Light has some big race entries and he should not be opposed here.
