Verdict

Spanish Star passed the post first over track and trip last month but had hung into Atalanta's Boy in the closing stages and the stewards awarded the race to the latter. It’s difficult to separate that pair and LETHAL ANGEL (NAP) is preferred. Stuart Williams’ filly has gone close in both starts this year and was beaten less than a length at Newmarket last time with both Seprani and Big Lachie behind. She’s taken to go one better reunited with winning partner Oisin Murphy for this. Seprani was having her first start of the year at Newmarket and may finish closer to the selection this time but The Groove looks stuck on his current mark having landed a double on the all-weather back in February.
