Verdict

CALLING THE WIND (NAP) won this in 2021 and has been a regular in major marathon events and won the Northumberland Plate at Newcastle last month. He's been raised 4lb but will take some beating over this trip. Law Of The Sea was struck into in the Plate and should finish closer. Aggagio has won four times here and though never over a trip this far he's also won four over hurdles and his stable is in good form. Temporize proved he acts on the ground when just failing to get up in the two-mile Brown Jack Handicap at Ascot while Robert Johnson has now won five of his last six including on heavy ground and was impressive at York. Gordon Elliott sends Tronador over and he scored over 2m1f at Limerick before a very good run over hurdles at Bellewstown. Typewriter proved she stays the trip with a fine run in the Queen Alexandra Stakes.
