FREE EXPRESSION was unbeaten in four starts before finishing third in a Grade 1 over hurdles at Naas then raced in top company in novice chases last season, culminating in a close third in a Grade 2 at Limerick in December. He's expected to take high rank this campaign and can make a successful return, though this looks a tougher test than connections would have hoped for. A Genie In Abottle won a point, a bumper and a maiden hurdle before being outclassed in a Grade 1 at Punchestown but could prove a high-class recruit to fences while useful handicap hurdler Lucky Pat ran well enough over a trip too short over this track earlier in the month. Nambour was placed in three Grade 2 novice hurdles last winter and is another who should do well at this game having already won between the flags while the selection's stable companion Woodford Island has jumped really well in his two starts over fences and hasn't been beaten far in either.
