In depth

Verdict

Some of the best young riders in Ireland line-up for this including Eddie Linehan, who has won a couple of races for Willie Mullins recently. They team up here with WEE GIANT and the son of Giant's Causeway looked all over the winner at Tramore last time until caught in the dying strides by The Fonze. Compensation awaits though there are numerous dangers including the versatile Northern Alliance who finished fifth in the Plate here last time. Fammi Sognare arrives here in good heart after her comfortable victory at Tramore and though O'Bella Ballerina only scrambled home to lose her maiden tag on the same track she is progressing and starts her handicap career on a fair mark. Sam James completed his first-ever double at Wexford on Friday so his mount, the course and distance winner Articilitis, is worth noting.
