Verdict

Sylas Ings makes appeal on both of his two runs but the 100-day absence and first time tongue-tie temper enthusiasm, so we'll give another chance to NOONENOSE. William Knight's colt surely isn't going to live up to his Dewhurst entry, indeed he's currently rated 85, but that standard is a reasonable one in the context of this race. He does shape as though a mile would help but rain-softened ground will place a greater emphasis on stamina and he should cope with conditions. Aciano tries blinkers for the first time and they could enable improvement which is required from this 78-rated sort, but he looked in need of quicker ground when fourth at Newmarket. With that in mind the biggest threat to our selection may be Winged Valkyrie, a half-sister to the smart Sent From Heaven who flew home when finally getting the hang of things on her debut at Kempton. John Biscuit looks the best newcomer on paper and market support should be noted.
