Verdict

Many of the country’s leading amateurs have secured a ride in this. Tony Martin saddled the winner in the 2103 and 2014 and runs Listowel winner Newcross and Mr Everest, who is interesting despite failing to land the odds in a Fairyhouse maiden in April. Willie Mullins has won the last two renewals and has four entries this year. Paddy Mullins rides Legal Spin, beaten less than a length by Shakespear'sgalley at the Curragh last month, but ROYAL ILLUSION looked ready for a return to a longer trip when fourth over 1m4f at the same track nine days ago and is also preferred to Mr Adjudicator and Great White Shark. Baba Boom hasn’t raced since winning at thus meeting last year and tries a new trip but Derek O’Connor’s presence in the saddle suggests he’ll be ready. Act Of God and Dalton Highway are also worth a second look.
