In depth

Verdict

POKER D'AINAY has been a beaten favourite in both starts to date but probably needs a stiffer test of stamina and Patrick Mullins is likely to kick on here. He's taken to recoup losses though Kerrkenny Gold will also make a bold bid from the front as he did at Listowel when ridden by Mullins. Mason Jar ran very well for a 50/1 chance behind Royal Rendezvous at Tipperary and the winner is expected to make a winning start over timber earlier in the day. Eagle Roque was very disappointing on his final start at Ballinrobe in April but may do better on this ground while winning point-to-pointer is an interesting recruit for Jessica Harrington. Abacadabras is a half-brother to a winning hurdler in France and is another to note in a tricky finale.
