Verdict

Joseph O'Brien chooses CHAMONIX over stablemate Demurely though he's by no means certain to have got it right as it's very difficult to quantify his mount's very easy victory over subsequent Galway Plate hero Bob Lingo at Killarney. He's entitled to make progress however and is handed the vote over the exposed Demurely, who was well beaten in a Group 3 at Cork by Sapphire when Eternal Bounty was behind. Macbeth had been tackling strong opposition before landing a conditions event at Roscommon in impressive style while the only four-year-old in the line-up, Midnight Music, deserves another crack at this grade after a very good effort behind Twirl at Gowran.
